BORN was conceived in the spring of 2015 on the Central Coast in NSW, Australia.
Ex-Sydney based Mark Patrick ran MPagency, a highly regarded premium lifestyle public relations & event business for over 2 decades before relocating to the Coast.
Mixing his collection of antiques, table-top treasures, objects trouvé, vintage linen and glassware with quirky finds from his many years of travel, Patrick has birthed an eclectic mix of home wares. Every thing is unique.
Old friends abound at BORN…Joan Bowers, who for 4 decades has been working in Northern India with artisanal villages, is showcasing her current collection of bedding and children’s wear.
The Chiang Mai porcelain collection is conceived by Colin Davies who now resides in Thailand.
A highlight at BORN is the collection of textiles from the Ministry of Chic, curated by design director and renowned journalist Susan Kurosawa.
Vintage finds abound with collector/artist/writer Louise Pfanner scouring antique markets and such daily along the eastern seaboard. Fabulous finds include glassware, china, tabletop and cookware.
Celebrated artist James Gordon presents his whimsical paper sculptures and watercolours while international artist George Raftopoulos is currently showing a series of mixed media works on paper. Award-winning children’s artist Louise Pfanner and local sculptor Kirsty Walker round off a truly diverse mix of contemporary art on offer.
Mark also displays his collections of vintage linen, textiles, glassware, stoneware and china.
